SB-99

We have successfully completed the recount on the RBO!!  We gained 3 votes in the process.  One small battle won.

There are a bunch of bill that are working their way through the NH State government system.  We need to stay abreast of them.   They will help to secure our freedom from wind power.
The bill for this week needs support from folks in each district across the state.  We need  friends and family in each district (all 400!!) who will call their representatives.  This is a massive project and Lori (NH Wind Watch) needs as much help as she can get.  If you have time to make some calls, know folks in a particular district or are willing to help in any way we could really use it!!!

Thank you for your time and continued support!!  Call your reps:  Click here to find yours.

Here is a recap of the week before, right after the votes were first counted.  They were then re-counted; in OUR favor!
We had some great success!  Thank you so much for all of your efforts.  With a difference of only three votes on the Rights Based Ordinance (RBO) every vote, conversation, and flyer counted. We will have to be diligent to support our RBO, and laws going through at the state level to ensure our towns health, safety and property value. Let’s keep putting the brakes on wind development in Grafton and neighboring towns.  Jeanie Forrester has one last bill to propose- SB99.  It is aimed at reforming the Site Evaluation Committee and the process for applications.  This bill has quite a bit of support from state departments, but will need robust support from the private sector to make it through committee.
